Orange County Division members joined at the Garden Grove Community Center on August 21st
to receive first-hand knowledge regarding Governor Schwarzenegger's efforts to balance the
state budget.  Lisa Kalustian, Chief Deputy Director for the office of Governor Schwarzenegger
explained the Governor has offered the Legislature a Budget Compromise that protects education
funding, maintains important safety net programs, does not borrow funding from local government
or transportation, and avoids massive out-year deficits.
