Who is a member of the Orange County Division, League of California Cities? The Orange County Division membership is made up of the thirty four cities and its elected council members and staff. The Division’s core services are supported through the cities membership dues. Can an organization or private business become a member? Only Orange County cities may become members of the Orange County Division. When does the Division hold business meetings for its membership? Business meetings are held based upon membership need and are held before the Division meeting program. On average, the Division will hold four business meetings throughout the year. What is a Division meeting? The Division hosts regular evening meetings. These meetings are designed to be of interest to a broad segment of the Orange County Division membership and focus on Division priorities or topical issues. Meetings feature interesting keynote speakers, panel debates and discussion, and provide networking opportunities for our members, and related partners and agencies. The cost includes the program and dinner. There are member and non-member fees, as well as pre-registration and on-site registration fees. Sometimes, private companies sponsor the meetings and receive recognition for their contribution. Meetings are currently held at a variety of locations, and are typically centrally located for convenience to our members. For upcoming events and registration please see the Division calendar. Who can attend the monthly Division meetings? The Division meetings are open to the public and may be attended by any person that pays the event registration fee. What is the cancellation policy regarding Division meetings? The Orange County Division, League of California Cities accepts the cancellation of any event registration if it occurs no later than the specified “cancellation deadline” shown on the event’s promotional materials. If payment for a specified event has been received, the Division will issue a refund payment within a period of one month from the time of cancellation. Any cancellation made after the “cancellation deadline,” irrespective of reason or cause, is non-refundable. How can I present information to council members at the Division meetings? Division meetings are strictly devoted to the interests of our members. Those who wish to distribute information to Orange County elected officials may do so by contacting each city, or may attend the Orange County Division meetings and disseminate information during the mixer before programs. Are there sponsorship opportunities available? The Orange County Division offers the opportunity for private businesses and organizations to sponsor events throughout the year. Sponsoring an event gives the unique opportunity to have a company logo on event signage and flyers viewed by more than 300 local elected officials, legislators and county businesses.
